With this type of decking us the timber teck hidden fastener, the other type of gun I think you are referring to is also called hid fast, looks like a flooring gun, it works with PVC but dies have problems cracking and breaking iff pcs of the encapsulated products. Another hidden fastener clip u can look at is tiger claw

I came across this post, and while it is a bit old, I figured I would address it regardless in case anyone else has a similar question.

Previous to my current position, I served as the Deck Products specialist for a fastener company where I worked on product development, particularly for composite decking.

TimberTech's Earthwood Evolutions is a capstock decking with a recycled center and a hard outer shell.
