Concrete Deck

I am considering making our deck out of precast concrete "planks". These are available at the 22' length I need. Then I would use pavers, etc for the surface. The deck is about 50" off the ground. Rail columns would be combination wood and brick. I am not sure about this. It seems to be done commercially. Also I am not sure how to redirect the water off the deck. Anyone have any suggestions?

Precast planks usually have a camber in them, meaning they are a bit bowed in the middle. In commercial construction they usually have a 2" topping slab applied to cover the joints and get a smooth level surface. Also they are secured at the edges to keep them from moving. What would the ends of the planks bear on, a wall or a beam. Not to mention the weight of a plank. Cranes are needed to lift them into place. All that weight also means a substantial foundation is needed. Not necessarily trying to discourage you, but a lot more may be involved than you realize.
