 o
Treated lumber, cypress or spanish cedar for frames for screened

Hi. Our porch is ready to be framed for screens. It has square columns with about 8.5 feet between the columns and the wood will all be painted. I've been told to use treated pine but also told it will have to dry for months before it can be painted and screened. Also told to use either cypress or spanish cedar. It is an old fashioned southern porch under large live oaks. We get lots of heavy, blowing rain. Suggestions please.
