We live in a house built in 1942 where mail is delivered to the door. We are replacing front lights and mailbox and want a locking mailbox. The board for installing the mailbox is only 11 inches wide, and my husband wants something with some design value. Most locking mailboxes in this size are institutional looking. The new lights are black, and the style has a bit of Asian flavor, clean design. He's looked in Home Depot and here and there and in catalogs, and I've looked online. All the nice mailboxes are too large. Does anyone have an idea? We may just install a mail slot, but I thought someone here might have thoughts. Thanks!
