I dont have pics but have seen it before. I think you can't go wrong.

I would have done that if I hadn't gone full metal. We like to sit on the porch during a rain storm, until the lighting gets to be too much :-)

If any of you find pictures I'd love to see them. We're going to add a roof over our deck this year and I love the idea of rain on a metal roof, I'm just not sure how it would look tied into the shingles of the house.

Some porch roofs aren't steep enough pitch for shingles. Out here the pitch needs to be at least 3/12.
