metal or shingles for porch roof

| was wondering if anyone had used asphalt shingles on their house and metal for the porch roof (we have a wrap around porch in the front). have seen one like this in the past, but having a hard time finding pics now. If anyone has any pictures to share, we would really appreciate it!! |

| I dont have pics but have seen it before. I think you can't go wrong. I would have done that if I hadn't gone full metal. We like to sit on the porch during a rain storm, until the lighting gets to be too much :-) |

| If any of you find pictures I'd love to see them. We're going to add a roof over our deck this year and I love the idea of rain on a metal roof, I'm just not sure how it would look tied into the shingles of the house. |

| Some porch roofs aren't steep enough pitch for shingles. Out here the pitch needs to be at least 3/12. |
