I'm thinking about screening in an existing deck - I will likely replace the deck material but use the same footprint, and covering it with a clear roof.

Does anyone have any experience with clear roofs? Would it make the porch hot? Are there brands/materials that look upscale and stay clear (e.g., won't "blur" with weather, if you know what I mean)?

Any thoughts would be helpful!
