New pool construction

I am having a pool built in the Fort Worth Area.

Gunite was shot on Tuesday 3 Dec.

Do I need to water it?

How is this hard freeze likely to affect the gunite? Will it still cure ok?

It looked like water may have been forced out of the gunite and then frozen along the surface in a couple of places. Is that anything to worry about?

Thank you for any help/advice.

Continue to water. Freeze should not be a problem. You may see some isolated surface pops, but the rough surface will be covered with plaster of some sort.

Congrats on starting your new pool! Who is your pool builder? You may want to ask your pool builder about watering. When we built, they said it is more important to water the gunite when it's really hot outside so maybe you don't need to as much with the cold we've been having. I am NOT a PB though, so that's who I would ultimately ask, if I were you. Ours sent us watering instructions that were very specific. Good luck to you! Do you have any photos to share?
