Perimeter pool lighting under coping

Has anyone installed perimeter pool lighting under coping. I have seen fiber optic option but am interested if it is reliable and works after a few years. I have researched led options, but can't find anywhere that makes it code compliant?

Fiberoptic perimeter lighting provides a nice glow. It is reliable. The plastic around the perimeter can become slightly milky. The fiber end near the bulb may need to be polished every 3-5 years. Bulb life is usually very good as they are rated in thousands of hours of usage. Is has always been a fairly expensive option compared to other underwater lighting.
