Pool beam and coping stones too high can I cut...

Pool beam and coping stones comes up too high - see pic. Can I remove coping stones and cut the beam down to where I can do stone coping flush with pool deck or maybe just a cantilever concrete edge without compromising pool structure integrity? If it will compromise integrity, then will need to redo the pool beam lower to achieve this effect or something else? Thx! Oh and I can't raise deck to level of coping otherwise it would be above side door entry to house.

I don't see how it could be done. Even if you were to remove coping and somehow lower the beam, your skimmers are where they are and can't be moved easily. If at all.

While unusual, I've seen pools built like that. Mainly in Florida. Is it just for esthetics that you want to change it?

Yes, in Miami, FL. There are no skimmers in the pool. It has two suction ports and one return. One suction at the bottom and one suction in the side wall. It is purely for aesthetics. The deck chattahoochie needs to be redone and pool needs resurfacing so looking into doing more to achieve that modern look. What do you think? Thanks!

Sorry, can't help you further but up until I read your post, I had no idea that a pool could be skimmerless!

If you find out it can't be done or is cost prohibitive, I think there are ways you can make that raised beam look more attractive. Not that I think it's all that unattractive. It reminds me of every pool I swam in during Florida vacations. Could you raise the deck to be flush with the coping on 2 or 3 sides?
