| What is the purpose of a hydrostatic valve on the bottom of a pool?
1) To relieve pressure and water from underneath a pool when it is empty 2) To relieve pressure and water from underneath a full pool 3) All of the above 4) None of the above (if so what is it for?) Thank you. |

| To relieve water pressure from under your pool in the event that you drain it. Eventhough your shell is concrete it can and will float like a boat if the pressure gets too great. Once your pool is full of water then the pressure in and out equalizes. |
