So my house in los angeles is small with a small yard. After many PB interviews, I went with Allstate Pools. JJ and Dennis are the best based on their experience, reputation, and A+ rating. With some other builders, i felt i would need to be on the jobsite regularly and watch them, which i personally do not have the time for. Either Dennis or JJ are always my house, the way it should be. I will post some pixs soon of the demo!

I can't tell you how many people have sat poolside at our house and said they wish they could build one but their yards are too small. I always tell them to check this forum because some of the pools I've seen shoehorned into tiny yards are so beautiful. There's something to be said for small - had we done smaller, I'd've upgraded my tile and landscape and my heating bills would be half! Good luck. Looking forward to seeing your build.

So we are through our first week of the PB. Dug the whole and rebar went in today! Plumber should be out here tomorrow or Monday so we can gunite next mid-next week. Changed my plans for my pool - decided last minute i wanted a pool with clean lines. One side will have a 1 ft wall where 2 water features will be placed. More to come!

as promised, a small backyard! I put the pool in the corner of my yard. My overall lot is only 5,000 sf, so if you think you can't have a pool bc the yards too small, i would say to ask a professional bc it can be done! It may look like the pool is taking over the whole yard, but i have a good 4 ft around and 5 ft on the other end so i an put a little table. The rest of my backyard i will just do pavers (not in the pix) I will also landscape around to make the space look larger.
On the blank 2 walls, thinking of putting up the space saving garden wall - my own garden in the city!

lindark, congrats on your pool build. It will be a very exciting and stressful time in your life but you will enjoy many great times for years to come. We have a SPOOL aka Social Pool (10X20)and it I am really glad it is not any bigger. It is very easy to keep and very inexpensive to maintain. The only regret is I wish we had more space for entertaining. DW entertains almost every weekend. Don't forget to preplumb for future summer kitchen. Look at our pool build to get ideas.
