Finished Pool Pics - Clear Lake, TX

I neglected to ever post finished pool pics for our pool. Between starting a new job and finding out that we are having a baby, I have been pretty busy and distracted the past month.

The pool was finished and started to fill on October 1st. It took 3 weeks and 1 day from dig to water. Brad Stephens with Backyard Amenities was our PB and we were very happy with the entire process. Now, we just have to work on landscaping! (Ignore that the cushions aren't on the patio furniture!)

It looks beautiful. How deep is your step down to the baja shelf?

nypoolnovice: The baja shelf is 9 inches deep, so there is 6 inches of water. We also have a bench in front of the baja shelf (which I LOVE!) and it is 18 inches deep. We have benches most of the way around the pool which we really enjoy, but the one by the baja shelf is a favorite. It also makes for a good way out of the "deep end", which is in the middle of our pool.

Your pool looks beautiful. I know that you are relieved now. Do not worry about the landscaping etc. We are constantly doing things, and the wife is constantly shopping for furniture and not to mention christmas ordinaments and christmans creatures that light up ahaaaaaaaaaaa. I need to add more electrical outlets. LOL. I just added a pentair deck jet. There will always more things to do. ENJOY you new pool......

Looks great! Are you happy with the exposed aggregate? It's not too rough is it? What size and color is the gravel?

Obviously, your "Pool Ambiance Director-in-Residence" had other ideas about the proper placement of the patio cushions!

Pool looks great!

Poolinar: Thanks! We are happy with the exposed aggregate. I really didn't think I would like it, but it was the only option other than swept concrete that would fit in our budget. I actually really like the look of it now. It seems to go really well. I'm glad that we decided to spend the extra money to do the flagstone joints. It helps to break it up a bit. It is not too rough at all. I'm not sure about the size, but the color is rainbow.
