See attached link for basic 20x40 pool plan that we are considering building. This is by no means complete (e.g. missing patch of decking from one corner), but provides a general idea.

We have acreage in Central FL, so we can really place out outdoor (i.e. no screen) pool wherever we want, and orient it anyway we want as well. We'll have large decking on 2 sides only (12' deep), and 4' decking on remaining 2 sides.

House is not visible in picture, but is located about 60 feet Northeast of the pool. Garage is located about 25' due east (tall brush separates garage and pool). Tall trees located south and west of pool... causes shadow to be cast on pool after 5 PM in November.

Questions:

1. When lying in chaise lounges, should we be positioned so that we are looking south? Currently, we'll be looking east.

2. Should grilling equipment/eating area be located at the shallow end, or deep end? Does it matter?

3. Should the grilling equipment/eating area be on the other side (other short side) of the Pool? Think it will had to the "field of view" when walking from house to pool.
