We've been in our house a year and the pool was stained when we moved in. I just had Leslies Pools come by to give me a quote to acid wash the the pool but he said it really won't do much good because it's the plaster. He said it would be about 6k to replaster but suggested we consider painting the pool instead. He said we would get 5-7 years out of that. We have a few small places the plaster needs to be patched but he said we are still a good candidate to paint a pool. This is our first pool and we know nothing. Any thoughts about the pros and cons of painting a pool?
