We are looking to install an outdoor pool- 16 x 32. We would like to use the pool year round and thus are looking at retractable pool enclosure- size 22 x 50. Have got a quote for $80 sq/ft. Anyone have one of this enclosures? Are they worth the investment? Is this option better then indoor pool? Any help would be appreciated.

RE: outdoor retractable pool enclosure

I have a friend who installed a retractable pool enclosures and swims year round. He loves it. He mentioned the cost and I think it was around the $60sq/ft. He installed it about 1.5 years ago and it survived hurricane Sandy no problem. It is fully automatic you don’t have to push it open, its electric so it moves on its own. The company was Covers in Play
He did his homework and found out that the unit won’t rot or have issues like typical pool building. It is made from aluminum. Hope this helps.
