Poured in Place Versus Flagstone coping

We have to decide tomorrow which style of coping we want. I want something that will last and is durable with kids around. Of course i want it to look nice as well. My wife wants to go with a tropical look so i was thinking the flag might look better. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciatted.

Both are very durable...one is concrete / one is rock...kids are not going to hurt either one.
All depends on the look you want.

Using rock can have mixed results. Different stone types have different characteristics. Some are harder and withstand temperature changes better than others, Some flake. Not all flagstone is the same.
