Help - Acid wash and brush etc

Hello everyone

I do have a question for you (as I am still new to all things pool) I see a lot of info that people acid wash and brush - can anyone tell me why do people acid wash and brush ??

I will be using DiamondBrite as that is the only product available to me in the Caribbean so will I need to do that with DiamondBrite - do you get in the pool to brush (probably a dumb question I know) do you have to stay out of the pool for a certain length of time, is there a certain type of brush to use, do you just put a brush on a pole, do you do it daily ???

I know so many questions (my husband is probably shaking his head at me right now if he ever reads this LOL) but I want to educate myself :)

From the questions you asked, I'm not sure you are planning on doing a pool acid wash...which as the first response stated involved draining the pool and spraying acid on the inside walls of the pool to clean them.

If you do NOT want to do an acid wash, and instead are just looking for ways to keep the inside of your pool clean, the brushing it at least weekly with a vinyl brissle pool brush on the end of a pole will help. If you have algae then you will want to address that as well via some chemicals to pour in the water to kill the algae.
