| Hi everyone,
I am in northeast Ohio and looking to put in gunite pool. So far I have one large pool company, High Tech Pools and one smaller pool builder, Highland Construction, to interview . . . anyone know of any more? Apparently there aren't many pools going in Cleveland area these days! Also, any advice on best options for financing such projects? I've read that there are banks that do "pool loans", but haven't found any yet. And finally,I would love to know what you all feel are the most important things to find out from the PB before I begin the process. I know absolutely NOTHING about swimming pools! I just found this forum and have already learned so much. Any advice at all will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

| Congratulations on your decision! We are also currently building our 1st pool. Some of the pre-planning my husband and I completed before selecting a PB: 1) Checked the Better Business Bureau and state licensing bureau for complaints, fines, suspensions; 2) Pulled permit listings in the general area to determine frequency of PB being used; 3) Obtained 4-5 quotes and asked for personal and vendor references along with evidence of insurance/bond ~ make sure you call on the references; 4) We asked friends and family for recommendations ~ word of mouth is the best form of advertising. :) Surfing the web and reading forums such as this one helped to educate us prior to consulting with each PB. So far we are happy with the PB we selected. They have been in our general area for over 50 years and have a long track record both residentially and commerically. Good Luck! |
