 o
Mastic-Should it be done by pool company?

My pool is almost ready, two day acid treatment done tomorrow, then start up, I noticed that there is a gap between the deck and the coping, is this the responsability of the pool maker to fill in? or is it an additional cost?

Thanks!

Great question!

What is in the contract?

I normally see it added but not by all gunite pool builders. Some just leave a tear away foam between a concrete deck and the pool shell.

tangojay,
If the deck is provided in the pool contract the mastic should be included. Sometimes there can be a gray area if a separate contract for the deck is used or you are using your own deck contractor.
