replacing bluestone pool decking

ashik

I am sick over the estimates I have received and coming here for new ideas. Large pool surround and separate eating area have bluestone that has not been maintained for over 25 years. Many many have become loose and/or cracked. Tremendous job to fix. Also the two masons that have looked at it are concerned that the bluestone, in the process of lifting might crack as it has worn thin. What to do? One mason suggested stampcrete - but I have read it can be slippery. What do you suggest - $$ is an issue - the stampcrete has been quoted to be over $30,000 due to the size of the areas.
