We are in the initial stages of planning a pool installation. The main issue we have is the back yard is very small and can accommodate a small pool and spa. However, the easements will not allow the equipment to be on either side of the house or out of sight. The only option is to place the equipment in the garage. The garage is detached and the back is a foot from the easement. Anyone ever heard of installing the equipment in the garage. I know the heater will need a vent to the roof but that is OK with us.

Garages have slab floors.

Can you keep the area for the equipment clear and safe?

Some places allow a Through The Wall installation for plumbing, venting in as well as out, and electrical. A lot depends on the materials used in the original construction.

Waste water will need to be dealt with. Lets say a leak decides to show its head, where will the water go?
