Calcium build-up on waterline tile.

Does anyone have knowledge of products to put on the waterline tile to reduce cacium build-up. I'm thinking of something like a silicon-based product that might discourage the calcium from adhering to the tile. I'm aware of products to put in the water to reduce the calcium, but we still get a lot of build-up at the waterline.

You might want to look up Calcium Saturation Index. Keeping this value just slightly negative will prevent the buildup.

The combination of too high an alk, pH and CH values are the cause. Lowering the alk and pH usually stops it,

Calcium can only be removed by dilution and reverse osmosis.
