Battling Mustard Algae ...help!

We have a 16ft Intex above ground pool. We have been battling mustard algae since we opened it in April. We have spent a lot of money on chemicals with no success. We have scrubbed and cleaned and vacuumed till exhausted! Any suggestions would be so appreciated!

Visit trouble free pools dot com. Their pool school (look for the button on the upper right area) has a mustard algae section. I haven't had that, but the advice there has cleared my swamp and I'm a believer.

We had mustard algae last year. We tried shocking to 25ppm, then 30, still came back. Then we filled the pool to the brim and shocked to 40 ppm. killed it.

Good luck, its horrible.
