Pre Plumb for Water Feature

We are going to add a water feature later and had it in our contract to pre plumb for it. Today pool guy is saying since the pad and the future feature are only about 12ft from each other there is no need because we would just have a pipe sticking up out of the ground until we do it. The cost of plumbing it later would be like nothing. Is he just trying to get out of doing it? Or is he trying to help by saying we would have a pipe in the grass?

If you paid for it and its in the contract, make them do it.
Sounds like the pool guy has a case of lazy.

doyline,
I would suggest that you have the PB plumb both suction and water feature return lines. You may want a separate pump to operate your water feature. You can bury the line under the grass for now. Just get dimensions so you can locate it later.
