Hi,

Currently have a sta-rite filtration system (cartridge). The replacement costs of the two filers is pretty close to actually replacing the whole system.

Looking for cartridge filtration system ideas, where the replacement cartridges don't cost an arm and a leg.

Anyone?

Sta-Rite mod grids should last for many years. All cartridge grids will get dark and look dirty, particularly at the bottom.
Unfortunately, Sta-Rite grids are expensive. Need to amortize them over ten years. My Sta-Rite DE grids lasted almost 18 years. DE grids are about half the money to replace. The tanks are the same if you wanted to buy the DE internals and convert your filter. Good luck.
