Hello All,

First off, glad I stumbled upon this site as it has helped answer many questions. As many others on here, this is my first pool build.

I am confused on one question...my potential PB uses Diamondbrite which is fine but he said he does not do an acid wash and only the acid bath and that this method is plenty good.

If you read Diamondbrite's manual, it says that you have to acid wash if its a quartz series so I assume that means an acid bath is acceptable on some colors.

My main concern is the cream or streaking issue that many on here report.

To make matters worse, the other PB that I am speaking with (and many posts on here) say to always acid wash.

My wife and I like the blue or super blue.

Anyway, what are the thoughts out there between acid wash before filling up or simply going with the acid bath.

I'm sure I'm being paranoid but wanted to get feedback from those who are more knowledgeable.
