I am at the tail end of installing a spa/pool combo . It has been a bumpy road with our contractor . Our contract calls for three jandy pumps . One variable speed for the pool , one to control the two spillways and one for the spa . The contract also includes a jandy lower end automation system . Contractor says he doesn't want to do the lower end automation system - he wants to do the jandy aqualink 2 however in order to do that he wants us to take pumps for the spa and spillways by a company called First Choice - the name is 1hp "56-frame champion pump " I can not find any reviews about the First Choice pumps on the internet . the contractor says they are just as good as Jandy but just a different brand . Can anyone shed any light on the comparison of the two companies ? Appreciate all response . Thank you
