Burying Black Pvc Drain Pipe Around Pool

We are building a Steel Walled Vinyl Liner Pool. The black PVC drain pipes connected to our gutter drain pipes just happen to come together where the pool is being built. The Pool Guy wants to have them placed in the same hole as the rock back fill and run it around the pool area for 20' then out to daylight rather than moving them outside the pool excavation area. He claims the drain he is placing in the pool area will handle any leaks from the gutter drain pipes. Is this right??

Why take the chance of floating the liner. Have them take the down spouts outside the pool area. And just leave the french drain for what water that that may come from your slope or underground water...
