My mother has a nice 2 person hot tub that she no longer uses. She gave it to me, but I don't have a spot for it yet.

So I want to drain it and put it in my garage for several months.

I've been told that prolonged "dry" storage is not good for various gaskets, motor, etc. and I will get leaks when I refill it in the future.

Is there something I need to put into the water before draining it? Some pump conditioner or something?
