Could be a seam separation in the liner.. if so liner will have to be replaced at no cost to you..If it is a pipe problem you would be responsible....If its a gasket they could just drain down the water and replace without changing the liner with no patches....

Thanks for answering! It is liner PM is sending a diver, he said something about patching if it was around light or main drain if leak is coming from there. P I plan on being home when diver comes, I do not want my new liner patched. Do you agree?? What happens next? His crew added foam to existing foam, in contract he said i was getting new foam, i didnt ask for it he said i was getting it, they added new foam on top of old foam, without any tape. now I'm concerned it was not done right way?? I found crew careless, they left marker flags of measurer and his nails ( where flags were) lying around my patio, also left another screw they must have dropped, along with shaving of sharp plastic. I actually stepped on piece of plastic and it cut me. Please tell me what to do...say to PM. Can I tell him I will not except patches on my new liner? Is that reasonable? Friend suggested 1/2 back if not seam and new liner needs patch, is that reasonable? Thanks in advance for any help.

My main concern is the foam over the foam ..How did they keep it on the wall while installing the liner? What I do is remove the old foam and attach the new foam with spray adhesive and tape each joint with duck tape...I would have a concern of the new foam sagging if not attached properly and causing bulging of the liner. Now lets talk about the hole in the liner. My crew has made holes in liners installing them and what I do is show the homeowner and give them the option of replacing it or a written 5 year warranty on the patched area. A proper patch is nothing too worry about and should be very hard to see in the pool. with that said if it is on a seam the liner should be changed out and a water allowance given back to you..

I appreciate the help. Turns out the gasket on the maid drain (which he replaced) is no good, the diver fixed with proxy, before closing I'm going to empty pool, so gasket can be changed. As for the foam, he assured me it was done right....I'm hoping it was, and now I'm going to start enjoying my pool.
