So we are in the process of getting everything together for a new home build.. But one thing I always wanted in our home was a nice outdoor space with a pool.. Obviously most of our funds are going towards the house so we are being more cost savvy with the pool as it is more of a plus then a necessity.. We are thinking of going with a semi in-ground pool.. We are in the NJ area and just curious what something like the pool pictured below would cost with the decking and fence..

Also I was curious what everyone's opinion is on placement of the pool.. The lot we have is approximately 155 feet from sidewalk to rear of the lot.. The driveway will be approximately 30-35 feet deep.. Then starts the house which will be 60 feet deep.. And then lastly the deck on the rear of the house which will be approximately 15 feet.. So we have roughly 45-50 feet of yard left from the deck to the pool.. Do you think it would be better to stick the pool as far back as possible or keep it closer to the house? Put it in a corner or center it with property or center with house?
