You really aren't supposed to do it, but if you do, you need to replace the orifices, the ignition module, and the gas valve.

These are actually made to do it quite easily with just the change of an orfice. I think the part is around $5.00
Just search Minimax NT propane orfice. The place you bought it should be able to get you one.

Thanks, so just change the orifce, not the burner, it cost over $450 for a propane burner set. Thanks for the advice it's what we thought but werent sure.

The regulator may need swapping also, as racket said.

"floor Model"? I thought they stopped making those years ago.
The New ones are easy, unfortunatly the gas valve as well as the burner tray need to be replaced according to Pentair.

Pentair only has one item number for the burners regardless of fuel type, so I'd imagine that the gas valve and orifices should suffice.

The difference in burner trays is the orifices. The burners are the same.

I havent touched a minimax in many years. I took my info out of an old Pentair tech manual, that is what they recommend. I wouldnt think there is any difference in the burner trays, except the orifices. I am quite supprised there is a difference for the gas valve as well.
Love the new technology, one orifice to change. It is so easy the local supply houses dont even carry Propane units, just the Orifice.

Propane heaters typically operate at a higher input, and manifold pressure, This is typically the reason that you need to replace the gas valve.
