 o
RE: New Pool Build

I am amazed at how fast they do this

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Almost finished

 o
RE: New Pool Build

They started at 7:30 this morning and finished around 1pm. Now we wait for 2 days before the plumbing for the infloor cleaning system gets done. I feel like this is going to be a hurry up and wait process LOL

 o
RE: New Pool Build

The biggest wait will be for the gunite to cure.

 o
RE: New Pool Build

It is so much fun watching the build. We had neighbors coming over to sit on the back porch to watch! Very interesting!

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Tree trunk was put up today!

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Tree will have a rope swing!

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Fabulous pool! Could you give those of us in planning stage an idea of cost/budget??

 o
RE: New Pool Build

The pool itself, including pump, lights, decking, pebble tec, tile etc was roughly $47,500. We added the infloor cleaning system which was a little over $5,000. The boulder waterfall/slide we designed is close to $21,000 and the concrete tree for the swing was $12,000.

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Can't wait to see the slide! How big is it?
We've signed and are waiting on HOA right now (we are also putting in a waterfall/slide but I'm guessing it will be a lot smaller than yours (Offhand I think it's costing us about $12k)

Coming along really nicely so far, can't wait to see the finished pool!

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Havent been on for awhile. They poured and started stamping the waterfall a couple of weeks ago.

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Some of the rocks that have been stamped.

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Decking was formed Wednesday.

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Starting to pour the decking.

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Decking has been poured and stamped.

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Still not finished, mother will come back in 5 days to cut stone pattern, stain, and grout

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Not *mother on previous post LOL
They are working on the tree and waterfall today. I will take pics of the waterfall later today. They have finished stamping it and have welded the branches to the tree and are putting gunite on it today as long as the rain holds off, fingers crossed.

 o
RE: New Pool Build

So they have finished the waterfall and tree today. All that's left is the painting and sealing.

 o
RE: New Pool Build

I love all of the detail they did with the tree!

 o
RE: New Pool Build

A wider view

 o
RE: New Pool Build

More details!

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Looks great! Can't wait to see the finished pool (I'm sure you can't either!).

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Awesome! Looking forward to next update also!

 o
RE: New Pool Build

That is one expensive tree, but I LOVE it.

Totally cool idea and they did a wonderful job on it.

Keep the build details coming!

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Pebble Tec was done today. Tahoe Blue is the color we chose. Acid wash wash tomorrow then we can start adding water. 3 of the coping stones need to be replaced and the deck still is not finished but we are at least going to get to swim while we wait :)

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Dear Folks:

First of all congratulations on your pool.

We have built a concrete pool, which was casted (walls and floor) all together at the same time.

In the beginning the contractor was supposed to place an inner PVC liner but since we didn't like this solution he suggested we waterproof the inner part (no the outside which is already covered with clean sand) and cover it either with marbelite or ceramics.
Do you have any idea of the best material for waterproofing (if needed?) and for the inner cover? Many thanks for your attention.
Gabriel

RE: New Pool Build

Any pics with water yet?! :)
(Living through your build thread at the moment since my dig doesn't start until Saturday!)

 o
RE: New Pool Build

As a matter of fact I do! LOL we are having to fill it fairly slow because we have a well, no city water :/ This PCM is after 24 hours

 o
RE: New Pool Build

*pic
24 hours

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Today
72 hours
They finished the decking today and are spreading some dirt and bringing out my chemicals tomorrow.

 o
RE: New Pool Build

It looks great. The slide and tree look fantastic.
What have they got left to do? Looks like you're nearly set!

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Not much! Just the dirt work and waiting for the pool to fill up so we can add chemicals. I am doing the landscaping myself and it will take some time because we just bought the 12 acres behind us so we will be doing some more land clearing this fall/winter. My girls were swimming in it yesterday and we even grabbed a 5 gallon bucket to pour water while they slid down the slide LOL

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Is it full yet?! :-P

More pics! Can't wait to see the final product!

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Like your pretty pool! The tree is unique. Haven't seen one of those before. Looking forward to pictures of it being used.

 o
RE: New Pool Build

It is finally full! I have pool school tomorrow. The water is a little cloudy so hoping to get it cleared up. Got the rope today too for the tree. Hoping to put it up soon. Will post picks tomorrow. Also going to start landscaping, landscaping, landscaping, thank goodness for the sale at
Houston Garden Center. It is all month long and possibly Sept too!

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Congrats! Does that mean you'll be swimming this weekend?

We may go back and buy some more plants/palms. The issue for us we need to keep them alive in pots/planters until the pool is done so maybe 5/6 weeks!

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Finished pool pictures?

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Please share some finished pictures! Thanks

 o
RE: New Pool Build

Looks great.

Loving the artistic flair.

 o
RE: New Pool Build

FYI....someone started a new thread wanting to see final pictures of your build! They couldn't locate this one. They were interested in seeing the tree and rope swing at completion. If you are up for it, we would love to see the final product:)!

 o
RE: New Pool Build

The thread they started "tree with swing, where are you?" Or something like that;-)
