Well after several years of education provided by fellow GardenWeb members, we finally took the plunge and kicked off our project yesterday. I hope to share our experience so that other members may benefit from our pool build in the same way we benefited from prior members sharing their pool build.

Some general information:

750 square feet of which approximately 75 is sun ledge
Type II pool - max depth 7.5'
No diving board
Pentair/Sta-Rite - pump, filter, heat pump, SWG, intellibrite lights and Easy Touch automation Polaris cleaner
Two tone hydrazzo - Hatteras Gray pool and Sahara Sand sun ledge
Water feature - stream effect rather than waterfall.

If I did this correctly you will see some pictures of our progress to date.

So far our timing has been:

Permits issued 5.17.10
Layout 5.22.10
Excavation 5.24.10
Steel 5.26.10

If all goes well they will stub out the plumbing tomorrow morning, inspection in the afternoon and gunite on Friday.

Any chance you have some pictures of your completed project? I really want to see how the Hatteras Grey looks? I'm thinking of using the color myself.
