I'm in so cal and have a pool from the 60s most likely. I've been told we need to have the pool grounded although other places I read bonded. My DH spoke with the electrician who came to give an estimate and it included a rod that goes 8 ft underground as well as something called a j-box. I'm not sure what we have or what we need. His estimate for fixing it all came in around $500. Eek. Better than electrocution though!

I have tried to research some online but I'm confused by the information that is from several years ago and I've also determined that in the US and Canada there are different regulations and likely from state to state. Any help is MOST appreciated!
