Automatic Pool Cover in Warm Climate

I posted a question on an old thread, but not getting any response. Can anyone give me some feedback on automatic pool covers? Brands that you have good luck with? Any advice for a cover in a warm climate (Texas)? Does it make the water too hot in the summer?? Do you think it was a worthwhile upgrade?

We are thinking more and more of putting in an automatic pool cover instead of a Katchakid fence AND a winter cover. We want an uninterrupted view of our backyard, the safety, and the ability to catch leaves. Seems like the automatic pool cover is the best of everything. But I'm having a hard time finding people who have automatic covers in my area.

We are waiting on a price quote for an auto cover with our current design. Next step, may be to ask for references to customers who have installed that particular brand of cover. But even then, I have noticed that references tend to be 1-3 years old. Probably not long enough to give me an idea of how the longevity of the cover will be.

Thank you!
