100% cast-in-place concrete pool- good idea?

All pool contractors in my area use shotcrete. Except for the one I just got a bid from; he uses cast-in-place only. He says his crew is familiar with the process and it's just as good as shotcrete. I have read that shotcrete is better for pool walls (fewer seams) and cast-in-place is better for pool floors. Your thoughts?
