New Pool Build-Orangevale, CA

My husband and I have been working on a pool design for almost 2 years now and we are finally pulling the trigger and starting our dream backyard. My home is on 1.50 acres and nothing has been done to the backyard other than some concrete work around the house when we first moved in. We are going with a large pool so that when it's finished it does not look like a pond in my backyard.

Any advise or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Pool Specs:
45' x 30' 6" x 23' 6" free form pool
915 sq ft pool
10' x 15' Cabo Shelf with 2 umbrella sleeves
3' to 8' deep
Salt water pool
Pebble Sheen in Aqua Blue
3x3 water line tile-may upgrade this to 6x6 tile for $600 more.
30' of 42" Raised Bond Beam with Stone Face and Stone Cap (right & left side of pool on back wall)
16' of 30" Raised Bond Beam with Stone Face and Stone Cap (middle of pool on back wall)
2-36" Clear Sheer Descent Spillways
3-24" Clear Sheer Descent Spillways
5 Tons of Boulders
Notched Beam for Boulders
Jump Rock Boulder with Step Rocks at deep end
3-LED Color Changing Lights

Equipment:
Pentair 520 Filter
Intelliflo VS Pump
Sand Shark Pool Cleaner
Seperate 1HP pump for 36" Spillways
Use Intellifo Pump for 24" Spillways
Solar Stubs at equipment pad

Still have to install the heat pump (wrong one was ordered), replace one LED light (wrong one was installed), finish buttoning up the plumbing, and balance the chemicals. Almost there! Can't wait to see the sheer descents pouring out of the walls and the colored LED lights turned on. Should be swimming by next weekend. We must have good water here, because the pool did not turn green to start like many others I've read about online.

This is the best picture that represents the color of the pool as it is right now with no chemicals added yet. (Just finished filling)

These pictures are great. We are very close to starting our remodel/new pool project here in Sacramento. Just curious, who was your builder?

We are building in the same town. How is the heat pump working for you? We are planning to get one also, but they seem very uncommon for this area and I can't seem to find anyone who can share actual results (time to heat, bills, extended season).

Michael, so sorry that I'm just now seeing your post on questions on the heater. My husband and I were just saying this last weekend that we are SO glad we put it in. It defiantly extends your season swimming. If you still have questions on this and need advise, re-post the best way to contact you.

No problem, thank you so much for the response! I'd love to chat about your heat pump results. I believe there is a way to message me when you click on my profile vs. putting contact info online. Or if you follow me, I should be able to message you.
