Direct Sunlight On Equipment

I have the full range of Pentair Equipment and I live in the Inland area of Southern California. My equipment sits in direct sunlight everyday, 365 days a year. Could this effect the life of some of the equipment? Is there any reason to put up a shade cloth over the equipment?

It's a common method of installation and the equipment is designed to be outside in the weather. Air circulation is more important than direct sunlight.
