beadcrete trowled in over minipebble

We are resurfacing our pool. We chose stonescapes- mini pebble. We are having some beadcrete trowled in over it-not mixed in the truck. Has anyone done this or seen this done?

We didn't like the premixed formula colors of stonscapes- touch of glass (pebble w/beadcrete), so this way allowed us to choose the bead color for over the pebble.

RE: beadcrete trowled in over minipebble

If you are using stonescapes (generic pebble) then it wont be beadcrete (pebble tec) that is being added, it will be a generic glass.
For the mix to properly hold the glass it needs to have some special bonders added, and best to add glass to mix. What you are talking about doing, the glass is likely to pop off as the years go by.
