We have had an inground liner pool for about 20 yrs, and just had the liner replaced for the 2nd time. When the installer was here, he noted a small pit, about 1/2" dia x 1/8" deep in a corner of a step in the shallow end, probably caused by algae, as it sometimes gathers in the step corners. He said he would repair it with epoxy, but now that the pool is filled, I noticed he didn't fix it. Since I'll have to drain the pool down 2' to this, I'm thinking of doing it myself sometime. I would assume these steps are fiberglass, any ideas as what to use ?
