When curing most plaster finishes, it's 24/7 for a month or so. Then about 1 to 1.25 turns of the pool's volume per day, during the day.

For all other pools, about 1 to 1.25 turns of the pool's volume per day, during the day.

During colder months, for those that don't winterize, about a 1/3rd of a turn is enough due to chlorine's departure is significantly reduced by the colder water. Less energy is available then. Not your issue Jeremy.

While 1 to 1.25 turnovers per day may resolve water issues for many pool owners it falls well short of the calculated values and industry standards for water turnover. For residential applications you should filter the entire volume of water every 24 hours. However since your pool water does not line up single file to go through the filter, you must continue to turn over the water until you have effectively filtered all of the water. The math behind this turnover calculation shows that by the time you filter the volume of water in your pool 3 times, you will have managed to effectively reach over 98% of all the water in your pool for at least ONE pass through the filter.
