heating pool

Hi,
We have an old 100,000 litres (~22,000 gallons) in ground, outdoor pool, that we would like to heat. The local pool guy tells us that a heat pump or natural gas, will cost quite a bit of money because of having to run lines from the house (gas or electrical). Rather than going the full heating route, is there an option that will allow us to bump up the pool temperature a few degrees so that it is not so cold, on days that we do use it in the summer?
Thanks,
..... john

Try a Solar blanket it will increase the water temp by about 12 degrees. Bit of a pain to handle but they do help.
