| I am installing concrete deck as a sub-base around gunite pool- is it okay install & drill 5/8" rods into sides of gunite pool to secure to deck? I have been told by some not to do this, others say it is fine. Opinions? What is common practice?
I am in north east area, just installed the gunite pool last Nov. Deck base fill has be layered- compacted, & 4" gravel compacted. Will be adding natural stone on top of concrete sub-base with an expansion gap between pool and stone. |

| Definitely do NOT tie the patio slab to the pool shell. The patio needs to be able to move horizontally and vertically. |
