question for non slip kitchen floors for pool owners

for anyone that has access to the pool through the kitchen, what type of flooring is the most slip resistant? we have pergo type now and it is very smooth and slippery when wet. with people coming in and out all last summer, it became a safety issue. i would like to change it out before our pool season starts (we live in upstate ny so late may?)

I had natural cleft slate in my master bath in my last home and I loved it. It was not slick when wet. I will be putting in slate in all my common areas in my current home before too long.
