| My gunite pool is 15 yrs old. White plaster 18x36 and comparing prices of resurfacing starting at $5000, and he will cut below my tile and use bonding compound and then replaster. Is this stand procedure and price? If I choose to upgrade to pebble tec then price 7-8000 . Or Krystal Crete 7,000, is it worth the extra $? I want my water crystal blue and dont think I care for pebble look. He satiates all my tile on steps will be chipped and recovered due to replastering, any input is welcome. |

| We had our gunite pool resurfaced 5 years ago using 3M quartz crystals in the mix. The crystals are supposed to increase the durability of the plaster and added only $1,500 to the base price. We opted for the Caribbean Blue crystal mix in a medium grey plaster. The grey plaster gives a deeper blue color to the water which we really like. There is also a older thread on this site where the topic of plaster color and water color is discussed in detail. http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/pools/msg052156521033.html |
