We put this stamped concrete around our pool and we don't like it at all. I was told (incorrectly now I think) that kool decking doesn't work here because it freezes a lot all winter. We are in Eastern WA. So now I want to do something with the ugly stamped concrete. I was thinking about a quartz product but it's going to cost A LOT! More than we'd like to spend. Mainly because of all the prep work with the current stamped. Does anyone know if cool decking is good in Eastern WA?

I don't know anything about Kool Deck in your area, but here in Florida it still gets hot. And it's slippery once "painted" whether it's wet OR dry. Not a fan. I should have gone with pavers or something more porous.

Look at Granitite as an alternative. I am not sure if it is offered in your area, but it's worth a look. Just "Google" it
