A good fix for ugly cement around pool.

We put this stamped concrete around our pool and we don't like it at all. I was told (incorrectly now I think) that kool decking doesn't work here because it freezes a lot all winter.
We are in Eastern WA. So now I want to do something with the ugly stamped concrete. I was thinking about a quartz product but it's going to cost A LOT! More than we'd like to spend. Mainly because of all the prep work with the current stamped.

Does anyone know if cool decking is good in Eastern WA?
It already gets hot but it's not a big deal to us, really, since we go right from the shaded porch to the pool. Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't know anything about Kool Deck in your area, but here in Florida it still gets hot. And it's slippery once "painted" whether it's wet OR dry. Not a fan. I should have gone with pavers or something more porous.

Look at Granitite as an alternative. I am not sure if it is offered in your area, but it's worth a look. Just "Google" it
