Replacing a ozone generator's UV lamp?

Hi,
I have a 10 year old Caldera hot tub that has a water ozone system. Recently it has been showing a LCD message indicating that the "ozone generator's UV lamp has burned out". Does this really need to be replaced? How much sanitizing does this feature really provide? It as been out for several months now and i haven't noticed a difference in my spa water. Thanks for your input! |

| UV bulbs need replacing every couple years anyway. I would just disconnect it from the spa pack. Scott |
