Scale on Gunite and Plastering

| Is it important to get the white scale that has developed on the gunite removed before plastering (see loveseat in picture below)? Anything I need to make sure of before plastering is started in terms of prepping the gunite surface? They came out and removed the water from the pool, scraped down the gunite surface, and cleaned everything up but there are still white scale in various spots.

| Nothing to worry about. It's not scale. It's effervescence(sp). Trace amounts of water bleeding to the surface. |
