Jandy aquapure 'JO'

I have a new Jandy aqua pure and am getting a readout of "JO". At first I thought it was "LO" and meant the water temp was too low, but it's in the 70s now and I'm still getting the readout. I can't find it in the manual, so

what does it mean?

Your right thats not in the manual.

    Sure it says JO?

If it does, its time to make a call to Jandy.

OK I poked around and found this older version of the manual.

    Look at page 6,

JO - Indicates operation is controlled by a Jandy AquaLink RS or PDA,and system is in SERVICE or TIME MODE.

    well, thanks for finding that.

If the filter has to be running to get a reading, how would it not be in service mode or on my PDA? And why would I need a big flashing signal to tell me this?

Ill explain my cabinet, I have the white aqualink cabinet with the control panel buttons at the top and a wireless link to my pda-6. These control panel buttons can control all the functions of the pool just like the pda-6 can.

Also installed in this same cabinet on the bottom left is the control center that has the up and down buttons, salinity salt shaker emblem, and temp controls, cell on, cell off, flow reversing LED's.

Normal runtime setting for me is AUTO, which allows me to control all functions from the top button panel in the cabinet or from my PDA.

Now if I want access to the bottom controls directly, I have to switch to Service or Timeout mode.

This is from my original setup guide my builder gave me at pool school.

    AUTO Mode (automatic)
    1. The control panel has complete control of
    all functions.
    2. All programmed settings will operate.
    3. All safety delays and equipment protection
    inter locks are operational.

    SERVICE Mode
    1. The power center has complete control of
    all functions.
    2. Service mode must be turned on/off at the
    power center.
    3. No programmed settings will work.

    TIMEOUT Mode
    1. The power center has complete control for
    three (3) hours.
    2. After three (3) hours the system will return
    to AUTO mode.
    3. Programmed on/off times will be
overridden during the three (3) hours.
    4. After the three (3) hour "time out", the
system will resume any programmed items
    that were overridden.
